The 11th arrondissement of Paris: not yet the suburbs, but not the center anymore
21.08.2023
The 11th arrondissement of Paris is home to thousands of Parisians, not interesting for tourists, but so native. This post will tell you whether you should live in the 11th arrondissement.
The 11th arrondissement is the most densely populated and lively district of Paris. It is here that you can see the life of modern Parisians without the romantic flair and historical references. It is full of students and young people, as housing prices are much lower than in the historic student district - the Latin Quarter. In the district boils night life, there are many bars, nightclubs and discos.
Transportation is very well developed - there are more metro stations here than in any other district of Paris.
If you are young and like fun parties without beginning and end - you should like it here. However, the 11th arrondissement is adjacent to the unsafe immigrant 20th arrondissement, so be careful at night, especially at the metro stations Ménilmontant, Couronnes, Belleville.
