The 5th arrondissement of Paris: Tourists and students

The 5th arrondissement is one of the oldest districts of the city, beautiful and safe. Its main difference from other districts is that the main educational institutions are concentrated here, which means that there are more students here than tourists. 

The Latin Quarter is the name of the old student neighborhood that grew up around the University of Paris. It even includes the famous Sorbonne! There are plenty of places to feed and entertain young people, so you won't go hungry or sad. 

The Pantheon is another of the district's landmarks: once the cathedral of Saint Genevieve, this majestic structure is now the tomb of the great figures of France. The dome offers a beautiful view of the city.

You may also be interested in the Arena of Lutèce, the Museum of Cluny or the Museum of the Middle Ages, the Botanical Gardens or the Garden of Plants, the Great Cathedral Mosque, the observation deck on the roof of the Arab World Institute. 

In the 5th arrondissement, it's great to walk along Boulevards Saint-Michel and Saint-Germain, checking out bookstores and pastry shop windows, taking photos for Instagram and eating gourmet food in local restaurants and bistros.
